Automatic sectionalizer for overhead medium-voltage distribution networks up to 36 kV. It coordinates with an upstream recloser or circuit breaker to isolate a faulted line section during a de-energized interval.

An automatic sectionalizer helps selectively isolate a faulted section of an overhead distribution network. It is not intended to interrupt fault current by itself.
The device counts fault-current passages or upstream opening operations. When the preset count is reached, it opens during the de-energized interval created by the upstream recloser or breaker.
Megates supplies sectionalizers as partner products on a project basis. Control unit, communication, motor mechanism, sensors and accessories are defined by the project specification.

No. A recloser interrupts fault current and can reclose. A sectionalizer follows upstream opening cycles and opens during a de-energized interval.
Yes. The shown partner product is in the 36 kV, 630 A and 12.5 kA class; final ratings are confirmed by the manufacturer datasheet.
Control and communication functions may be available depending on the selected control unit and project specification.
